Clark Builders’ Ron Egan Honoured with Community Inclusion Award

April 15, 2025 – Edmonton, AB – Clark Builders is proud to announce that Ron Egan, Senior Workforce Manager, has been awarded the prestigious Community Inclusion Award by Inclusion Alberta. The award was presented during the President’s Reception on April 11 and recognizes individuals and organizations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to building inclusive communities for people with intellectual disabilities.

Ron has been a driving force behind our longstanding partnership with Inclusion Alberta through the Dream Maker Society and Rotary Employment Partnership. He also serves on the Inclusive Post-Secondary Education Trades Partnerships Advisory Committee, which helps create meaningful opportunities for students with developmental disabilities to pursue apprenticeship training across a wide range of trades in Alberta—reinforcing the belief that inclusive education leads to inclusive employment.

In fact, one of our Clark Builders employees became the first person in Alberta to attend technical training for carpentry at NAIT through Inclusion Alberta’s Post-Secondary Education support program—a milestone moment made possible, in part, through Ron’s leadership and advocacy.

Ron believes—and has proven—that our best work comes from teams built on diverse backgrounds and strengths. As he says:

“Every person has talents and strengths—it all depends on how you support and motivate them. That’s how they succeed and add value to a project.”

This success is also a testament to the incredible support, openness, and collaboration of our project sites. Their commitment to fostering inclusive work environments has played a vital role in creating meaningful opportunities and ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, can thrive and contribute.

Through our multi-year partnership with Inclusion Alberta, and with the ongoing support of our site teams, we continue to hire individuals with developmental disabilities each year—fostering long-term, meaningful employment and strengthening our teams with diverse perspectives and talents.

“Ron’s leadership is a shining example of how one person can influence lasting, systemic change,” said Steve Lenarduzzi, President, Clark Builders. “His commitment to equity, opportunity, and community has elevated our company and made us stronger. We couldn’t be prouder.”
