Kingsland Assisted Living is a 24 suite residential structure designed to blend in with the other residential properties in the community. Kingsland is comprised of four distinct living areas complete with a dining room, living room, common kitchen area, and laundry room. It also contains a guest suite and private family dining area for residents and their families and features a commercial kitchen in the basement for meal preparations for residents. The property also has fully landscaped gardens and a security and monitoring system.
The structure is a two-storey, wood-framed structure with a basement. Stucco and Eldorado masonry exterior finishes and hardie board trim comprise the exterior facade. The facility has a pitched, asphalt shingle roof, and built-up, flat roof mechanical well containing mechanical equipment. The project includes a backup generator and an extensive HVAC system serving the entire building. Kingsland was an innovative community delivery model, serving as a prototype concept for the client.
