The Lakeview Recovery Community near Gunn, Alberta, is a recovery community dedicated to holistic long-term, live-in addiction treatment.
The recovery community, situated on 40 acres of land, is a mix of new and renovated buildings. The existing centre was built in the 1940s and required significant upgrades to improve safety and functionality. This involved rebuilding existing structures, upgrading infrastructure to current standards, and refreshing social spaces to create an uplifting environment for recovery. Work also included the demolition and reconstruction of a dining hall, extensive renovation of the recreation hall and medical clinic, and renovations to more than 20 cottages to accommodate clients and staff.
Our team self-performed critical scopes, including wood framing, concrete, demolition and backfill. This ensured high-quality standards and kept the project on schedule. The building exterior was also improved for energy efficiency.
