The Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre is a suburban facility that services the diverse needs of its community with a variety of indoor sports and recreation amenities. The facility expansion provides new recreation opportunities for the citizens of both Beaumont and Leduc.
The two-storey addition features an NHL sized ice surface with 275-spectator viewing, indoor turf fieldhouse with 280-spectator viewing, two-lane jogging track, hard court gymnasium, climbing wall, change rooms, multi-purpose rooms, concession, support spaces, and offices. A new centralized main entrance, lobby and reception area connect the major venues within the centre. While upgrades to the former Aqua-Fit facility provide pool improvements to the mechanical system, building envelope, structural roof reinforcements, as well as site-work and landscaping.
The significant facility improvement and expansion provides individuals, families, and user groups in outlying communities with increased sports and recreation opportunities and fantastic fitness amenities.
