Suncor’s Mount Logan Lodge in Fort McKay, Alberta stands out among camp facilities, providing a four-star lodge experience to the 2000+ workers it accommodates.
The dining hall is unique in its variety of seating and food options. A large, open-concept area offers a variety of seating styles, including a private dining area and outdoor patio. With the combination of standard line-service and multiple food-court style kiosks, diners can also choose from a variety of foods.
Indoor and outdoor amenities support the health and wellbeing of the workers. Indoor, workers have access to a gymnasium, fitness rooms, theatre rooms, a games room, golf simulators, massage therapy room, and multipurpose rooms that function as libraries, yoga studios, study area, and informal music studios. Outdoor amenities include a baseball diamond, football and soccer fields, basketball court, and an enclosed natural ice hockey rink.
To ensure that this 100,000 square foot lodge continues can provide a four-star lodge experience well into the future, the design incorporates durable, serviceable, and easily maintainable systems, materials, finishes, assemblies, and components.
