High Plains Building 2, located in Balzac at the High Plains Industrial Park, known as Western Canada’s Distribution hub, is a “A” class dual-load distribution centre facility, and the second project for Clark Builders in the Industrial Park.
The large-scale facility located on a 25.22-acre site involved the construction of a single-storey cross dock distribution facility with approximately 40,000 square feet of office space.
The construction of the building involved the installation of robust structural steel, designed to withstand the rigors of heavy use and extreme weather conditions. The exterior walls of the building were constructed using a combination of precast concrete wall panels and insulated metal panels, providing excellent insulation and protection against the elements.
A key aspect of the construction involved the fit-out for end user, Home Depot, which required the installation of specialized fixtures and equipment to support the distribution and storage of a wide range of products. Our team worked closely with Home Depot to ensure that their specific requirements were met, and that the facility was fully equipped to meet their needs.
