Expanding on our track record of successful warehouses in the High Plains Industrial Park in Balzac, we were contracted to construct Building 5 for Lowe’s Canada. This massive warehouse distribution centre spans over 1.24-million square feet and serves as a logistical hub for Lowe’s Canada.
The structure consisted of piles, grade beams, structural steel, precast walls, and IMP panels. The ballasted EPDM roof was also installed as part of the construction process.
This new facility was a significant addition to the Calgary market, consolidating the capacity of several Lowe’s Canada satellite warehouses and regional distribution centres. We utilized the 69-acre site to create a functional and efficient space for Lowe’s Canada.
The structure boasts a 36-foot clear height and 74 dock doors, making it perfect for large-scale storage and distribution operations. Additionally, it features a 325,000-square-foot racked area, a 625,000-square-foot bulk storage area, an 11,000-square-foot main office, and a 7,000-square-foot warehouse office. We also provided 406 trailer parking stalls to meet the site's needs.
